I don’t usually write reviews about hotels but this one deserves it! In the beginning i was not sure about this property because my husband was the one who chose the hotel. But at the end I ended up loving it. -First of all if you are afraid because is not in Manhattan, don’t be. The subway is only a couple of small blocks away(6). And in this blocks there are a plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes, bakeries. This neighborhood is called Williamsburg and is really charming. Also during the night when we returned to the hotel we felt super safe. -Second of all the staff is super friendly. -Every day 24/7 at the lobby you have coffee, tea, granola bars, apples and bananas. I have to say don't expect a luxurious hotel, it is not. However, it is a hotel that has everything you need on a trip to NYC. The rooms are standard size like those you could find anywhere in the country. They are not as small as I have heard are in New York. We got a king size bed, the pillows were super comfortable. The mattress is not the best i have ever tried in my life but is also very comfortable. The bedding is super cozy. In the wardrobe you can find an umbrella for rainy days. -We stayed for 7 days and 6 of them they cleaned the room. Every cleaning day they gave us clean towels. I left the 2 most important things for the last of the review: You always have hot water in the shower and the water pressure is abundant. And above all i have said here is the most important thing…the temperature of the room is always warm during the winter. This was my biggest fear, being cold because in some hotels they control the A/C (air conditioning)to save on electricity. But in this hotel you could sleep in summer clothes. So I have nothing else to say just thank you so much CODA HOTEL.

Excellent. We stayed in the off season which meant the pool was closed and that was perfect for us as we were travelling with our toddler. We were impressed by how child friendly it was. The rooms were big (not just "big for New York" but generally big), loads of space for travel cot and luggage and still room to move. The staff were super helpful and accommodating and very responsive to us. I genuinely felt like they were working very hard and maybe that was overlooked by other guests. It's also a very convenient location. We used to live in the area before moving away and found it super convenient not just for visiting all our local haunts but also getting into Manhattan too.

Had a short but sweet stay at the CODA while in New York to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived about 1.5 hours ahead of check in and had planned to just drop our bags and walk around until the check-in time but the staff very kindly let us know our room was already ready and we could head up, which was great. The room itself was minimalist but comfy! Staff were super friendly and accomodating and was nice to have coffee/tea avail in the main lobby. The hotel was also located well, close to the subway, with plenty of cute indie/vintage shops and bars/restaurants nearby. We had a great time :)

I think this is my first time giving a 10, and it’s very subjective—unfortunately, I got very sick on my last day, so I spent the whole day in their amazing lounge downstairs. No one bothered me, and I was able to rest peacefully, for which I’m very thankful! Now for the objective part: they offer coffee, tea, and snacks/fruits 24/7, which was great. The location is a short walk to the metro, making it easy to get around New York. The hotel was always quiet, and the room itself was very comfortable and cleaned daily. We had a heating issue, but they resolved it immediately.

Now, a lot of people may pick The William Vale over Coda perhaps but - having stayed at both over a two week period - I would pick Coda. Far better business facilities (various spaces and areas,) a lobby you can actually wait in without feeling like you’re waiting at the doctors, and essentially the same location. Great team there, helped us out endlessly (shout out to Sim) and right off Bedford Ave. I’d put my team in the Coda again but not the WV.
